January 7, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Vice-President of Amity University from India and member of the board council of Silk Road Alliance visited SWJTU. This visit aims at exploring cooperation between the Silk Road Alliance universities and SWJTU in information and science. Prof. Rajesh Kumar also invited SWJTU to join in the Silk Road Alliance. Prof. Fan Pingzhi, Vice-President of SWJTU held a talk with guests.
Prof. Fan welcomed guests from Silk Road Alliance and briefed basic information of SWJTU in education and research. Prof. Rajesh Kumar introduced information of Silk Road.
During the talk, SWJTU agreed to join the Silk Road. Both SWJTU and Amity University will cooperate to jointly educate undergraduate students in IT programs, and Amity University will provide scholarships for SWJTU students to study in India. SWJTU agreed to accept master’s and doctoral students from Amity University and provide diverse scholarship application channels for those students.
Silk Road Alliance has 50 member universities which in countries cross the old Silk Road.
