Nov.14, 2013, the delegation of Oklahoma State University (OSU) led by Mr. Tim Huff, Director of International Affairs Office, Prof. Glenn Brown of Bio-system and agricultural system and Prof. Damona Doye from Department of Agricultural Economics and Ms. Vivian WANG, Director of China Affairs visited Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU).
Prof. XU Fei, President of SWJTU held a meeting with OSU delegation. Both sides appreciated the cooperation between two universities. In the meeting, President XU expressed appreciation for achievements based upon diverse cooperation between two universities. He further briefed SWJTU's latest development and expressed that two universities should enlarge cooperation in fields of joint research, faculty and student exchange.
Mr. Tim Huff appreciated President XU's warmly reception for OSU delegation and invited President XU to visit OSU.
Prof. WANG Shunhong, Deputy Secretary of CCP committee at SWJTU held a meeting with OSU delegation. In the meeting, Prof. WANG reviewed the training program of SWJTU administrator held in OSU in this summer. Prof. WANG hopes that two universities could take this opportunity to enlarge bilateral relationship.
During the visit, OSU delegation also held meetings with international affairs office, human resources office, School of Civil Engineering, School of Architecture and School of Earth and Environmental Engineering from SWJTU to discuss about issues of student exchange programs, dual-degree programs.
