At the invitation of Mr Martin Rosenberger, chairman of the 24th International Symposium on Dynamics of Vehicles on Roads and Tracks held from the 17th to the 21st August 2015 in Graz, Austria, TPL Delegation including 19 teachers and students participated in this event.
The International Symposium on Dynamics of Vehicles on Road and Tracks (IAVSD2015) is the leading international conference bringing together scientists and engineers from academia and industry in the field of ground vehicle dynamics to present and exchange their latest ideas and breakthroughs.
IAVSD 2015 is organised by VIRTUAL VEHICLE Research Center in cooperation with Graz University of Technology, Vienna University of Technology and the industrial partners AVL, MAGNA STEYR, MAGNA POWERTRAIN and SIEMENS.
A total of 315 scholars from 29 different countries attended this conference, in the past is the largest number of participants. The Symposium lasted for five days, and there are 33 topics including 5 state of art reports, 10 special reports, 124 oral papers and 72 posted papers, which provides a international platform to share the latest research progress and ideas for researchers and experts in the field of railway and highway enterprise research staff all over the world.

Associated Professor Mei Guiming read off the report entitled “RESEARCH ON AERODYNAMIC EXPERIMENT AND DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE OF NEW DEVELOPED V500 PANTOGRAPH AT 400KM/H OR HIGHER”；Doctor Weilai read off the report entitled “SAFETY ANALYSIS FOR TRAIN TO TRAIN RESCUE DURING BRAKING ”； Doctor Wu Qing read off the report entitled “STUDY ON CURVING PERFORMANCE OF HEAVY HAUL TRAIN UNDER BRAKING CONDITION”； Doctor Gao Hongxing read off the report entitled “STUDY ON MODELLING AND CONTROL METHODS OF AIR SPRING INRAILWAY VEHICLES”；Postgraduate Student Yang Yi read off the report entitled “STUDY ON DYNAMICAL PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF THE OVERHEAD CATENARY ‘’. Lecturer Gao Hao did the post report entitled “A NEW REVERSE OPTIMAL DESIGN METHOD FOR THE TREAD OF RAILWAY VEHICLE’’；Doctor Han Peng did the post report entitled “A NEW KIND OF TRAMCAR BASED ON VIRTUAL TRACKS AND ITS DYNAMIC PERFORMANCES”；Doctor Zhang Dawei did the post report entitled “A NEW REVERSE OPTIMAL DESIGN METHOD FOR THE TREAD OF RAILWAY VEHICLE” .
