At the invitation of Mr Martin Rosenberger, chairman of the 24th International Symposium on Dynamics of Vehicles on Roads and Tracks held from the 17th to the 21st August 2015 in Graz, Austria, TPL Delegation including 19 teachers and students participated in this event.
The International Symposium on Dynamics of Vehicles on Road and Tracks (IAVSD2015) is the leading international conference bringing together scientists and engineers from academia and industry in the field of ground vehicle dynamics to present and exchange their latest ideas and breakthroughs.
IAVSD 2015 is organised by VIRTUAL VEHICLE Research Center in cooperation with Graz University of Technology, Vienna University of Technology and the industrial partners AVL, MAGNA STEYR, MAGNA POWERTRAIN and SIEMENS.
A total of 315 scholars from 29 different countries attended this conference, in the past is the largest number of participants. The Symposium lasted for five days, and there are 33 topics including 5 state of art reports, 10 special reports, 124 oral papers and 72 posted papers, which provides a international platform to share the latest research progress and ideas for researchers and experts in the field of railway and highway enterprise research staff all over the world.
At the conference, Professor Zhang Weihua as a member of the IAVSD scientific committee invited for wheel/rail wear damage and rolling stock dynamics Sessions as chairman. Professor Sheng Xiaozhen read off the report entitled “CALCULATION OF MOVING GREEN FUNCTIONS FOR HIGH-SPEED RAILWAY TRACKS;Professor Wu Pingbo read off the report entitled “SAFETY ASSESSMENT OF HIGH SPEED TRAINS UNDER CROSS WINDS’’.
