On May 18, Vice President Zhou Zhongrong in Jiuli campus met with a visiting delegation led by Marco von Dobschutz-Dietl, Head of Department for Economic Affairs of Nuremberg and Pan Zhihui, Project Director of Schaeffler Greater China. Representatives from the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and the Office of Scientific Research and Development attended the meeting.
Zhou delivered a welcome speech to the delegation. He highlighted the profound and solid relationship between SWJTU and Schaeffler, which has scored viable achievements in student joint education and joint scientific research. SWJTU and Schaeffler have jointly set up a model of cooperation pursued by higher institutes and cross-border enterprises. Regarding the potential cooperation opportunities between SWJTU and Nuremberg city, Zhou expressed his willingness to explore the path for win-win for both parties based on the SWJTU-Schaeffler tie.
Marco von Dobschutz-Dietl spoke highly of the SWJTU-Schaeffler tie featured by shared vision and mission. He indicated that Department for Economic Affairs of Nuremberg would take full advantages of the “successful marriage” of SWJTU and Schaeffler in a way to tap into the cooperative potentials between SWJTU and Nuremberg city.
Zheng Haitao, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, and Pan Zhihui, Project Director of Schaeffler, presented a brief introduction on SWJTU and Schaeffler respectively.
The delegation have gained more insights into SWJTU’s research strength and brilliant minds by visiting the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power.
