At the invitation of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), Hu Yanan, a 2017 doctoral student from TPL participated in the 26th Assembly of Advanced Materials Congressin Sweden from June 10 to June 13, 2019. She made an invitation report entitled "Failure behaviors of composites and additively manufactured materials via synchrotron X-ray tomography", which introduced the team’s research in the characterization of advanced materials and structural defects, service evaluation and remaining life prediction as the results of systematic research .The report details the defect tolerance evaluation method based on crack propagation model, three-dimensional synchrotron radiation imaging and image simulation. This method has been used in welded frames, axles and additive manufacturing components. More than 20 papers have been published in the top fatigue journal Int J Fatigue, the top international engineering fracture journal Eng Fract Mech, "Chinese Science", "Journal of Metals" ,ect..
